Hello One and All! First I will apologize for not posting in such a long time. I keep wanting to, but I just don't feel like it. I have 6 days until I go home. I have to admit that I am homesick and really don't want to go back to school this week for finals. I will be leaving on Saturday morning. I'm glad I have Beth to ride with to made the 10 hour drive not so bad. Thanksgiving was good. I had 2... one with Leah's dad's side, and one with Leah's mom's side. Leah and I have been doing our running. We have been watching Christmas movies and sitting around the house. Starfish said he would wait for me to see Four Christmases. I heard it was really funny.
I feel bad, but I don't really want to write anymore... I promise I will be back though.

Why?

It is 4 in the morning and I am still awake from the 3:30 fire alarm. This is my first college fire alarm. I have been lucky enough to miss the first 4. I honestly didn't even hear it until Beth came in shouting "Girls, wake up!" Then I heard the ringing and was scrambling for my phone and my shoes. We ran down seven flights of stairs and into the 23 degree night. The power is still out, and I'm not ready to sleep yet. The building looked like a party was going on inside because lights were flashing at different times in all the windows. It was laughing at us.

20 days

We have successfully kept our couch with no one stealing it since the time the guys did it. Last night... we stole someone else's couch. Our friends on the 6th floor had some really nice couches they got from the thrift store. So last night while they were away with their door unlocked it disappeared from their room and found its way to ours. Let me tell you... it is so comfortable. We put it in our living room with our couch and now our living room looks so nice. Friday we had a few people over... Leah, Kristine, Maegan, Julia, Latrice, Andrew, Andy, and Harold. We barely had enough places to sit and now there is plenty of room. We also drew a fire place with a fire in it on our window with window chalk. We hung stockings with our names above it. I used an empty paper towel tube for the log in our fire.
I got a call from Uncle Ray and Frankie this morning. I was delighted even if I couldn't hear them very well because I was in the caf. I will try to call them back later. Today Luke is going to go jump. I want to go. I love seeing him jump, and I want to learn to jump too. Well it is Sunday and that means it is time to do laundry. I will do it this weekend and next weekend and next weekend and then just use all my clothes for the last 2 weeks and take it all home with me to wash. Quarters are a valuable thing. I ran 2 miles this morning. It was Cold. Well it was actually 40, but for a tiny Texan like me, I was chilly. A dog was on campus and it followed us all the way back to the dorm. It had a collar but no tags so we didn't know what to do with it. It tried to go inside with us. I felt bad for it, but I figured it had a home somewhere.

Fruit Punch is not a good Substitute for Orange Juice

3 weeks until finals. 4 weeks until I get to go home. I like it here a lot, but I am ready to spend some time in RC. I'm sad that I don't get to see everyone for Thanksgiving... instead I will be in Oxford, Al with Leah. No, I'm sorry to say that this time it is not a trick... I won't be secretly flying home and surprising everyone. I really wish I could see Andi in Peter Pan. I have never seen Andi in anything before except dancing and singing in the background of Your A Good Man Charlie Brown. I do like her hair cut though. I saw pictures on Facebook and it is cute really short.
I am really bored today. Luke is away on a visit so I can't talk to him. I talked to my mom, but that only lasted so long. Friday I went to a hockey game... We Won! Last night I didn't feel like going to the second game though. So while Luke watched his possible future teammates play Pokemon(hahahahahahahahahaha) I talked to Beth until she left to go party with the cross country people. The guys cross country is going to nationals. The girls team got third so they don't get to go as a team, but one girl qualified on her own.
Beth and I have decided we will leave Saturday December 6 to go back to Texas. I'm thinking about taking my bike home because I practically never use it. I'm sure it will fit in my backseat.
We have started decorating for Christmas. We have stockings hanging in our window and we are going to draw a fireplace to put on our wall under them. I know Ashley is pagan so I'm not sure what holiday she celebrates instead of Christmas. I think it is yule or something like that.
Every one write Love on your arm on Thursday November 13. It is To Write Love on Her Arm Day. To many teenagers are depressed these days. They think about suicide or cut themselves or do other harmful things to their bodies. This day is a day to make people aware of those who are hurting and need to be shown that they are loved.
I am rather tired right now. I think I will take a nap and then do my laundry.

I would have smushed that stinky red side. Jk... I'm sure it would have tasted equally as delicious. I must say I think this should be a good four years... congress knows whats up. I have never used that phrase before and it feels really weird saying it.
I have registered for my classes for next semester. I have transferred from the college of science to the college of engineering. I am a civil engineer major. Then I will specialize in environmental engineering. I'm excited about this. I am very lucky... they just made first level biology a required class for civil engineering majors. So my biology class this semester wasn't a waste. Actually, all my classes are good ones. I was very pleased to hear that. In the spring I will be taking a second chem class, second history class, Calculus A, and Yoga!
I would type more... but I don't feel like it right now.

5 More Weeks

Good news... I changed my sheets. I thought my mother would like to hear that.
"Cover the tuba!" What movie? Luke can't answer because he was talking to me when I wrote this.
Today I watched the movie Boys and Girls and the movie Meteor Man. Last night I hung out with Beth and her brother. We went to Olive Garden and Walmart. Then we went home and watched Along Came Poly, Hoodwinked, and Major Payne. All very funny movies. I love funny movies. They are my favorite. Other than musicals. Musicals are the bees knees! (I'm trying to practice using my flapper terminology.)
I went to Walmart yesterday morning. I was getting my usual groceries: oatmeal, milk, crackers(cheese on wheat), Fiber One bars(delicious), eggs(which I need to go boil), soup for Thursday nights because my lab ends after the caf closes, and I was going to get orange juice but they didn't have any country style... I thought the world was coming to an end. I stood in front of the glass staring at the empty shelf for a good 2 min. Now I don't have any orange juice and I just don't know what to do with myself.
