15 Days until the Wedding!

Last Wednesday, 6 am... Luke and I bolt up to the sound of tornado sirens blaring. Then the rest of the day consisted of flipping through the news stations to make sure the insane string of storms and tornadoes weren't going to blow us away. After a very long day of that the power finally went out around 5 or 6. With no television we turned to the windows to watch the sky. A few more went through the area, and then all was quiet. The dorm's generator was supplying the hallway with light so as night time came upon us everyone started propping open their doors to let in light. Because the dorm is a U shape you can always see into the inside rooms at night when their lights are on. While the bedroom windows were dark, the segments of hallway were bright and full of life. We could see people playing soccer on the second floor, cards on the fourth, and even some people trying to find some light to study for their finals. We used flashlights to send some unknown code to people in windows across the courtyard. Every time a new window would start flashing we would cheer. Ethan wanted to celebrate when it was announced that Thursday finals were postponed. As each day went on the plan for finals changed, until finally they decided to just cancel them.
We found that each day goes by as fast as a sloth when our power resource is gone. We didn't have tv and computers to distract us and suck up all our time. We were outside nearly all day everyday until we left for Birmingham that Sunday. We walked along the train tracks, played in the waterfalls at Monte Sano, ate lunch in the park, played on the swings, and even got to look at the stars at night. Huntsville has so much light pollution that we can barely see any stars on a normal basis. No power = No lights = Lots and Lots of stars. Other than the ice cold showers, I had a great time.
I would like to request everyone's prayers for all the people that were killed in Alabama that day. There are still people missing, and the destruction in some places is terrible to look at.
On another note, these are the snow day scrap book pages I have so far.
I'm more than likely not done with them, so they might be changed up a bit later.
